Fernando Ruiz attended Caldwell College in New Jersey where he was a Fine Arts major. After graduating, he attended the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art. Fernando graduated in 1994 and began his career as a freelance illustrator and comic book artist. Since 1994, his artwork has appeared regularly in various comic books published by Archie Comics. He is also available for commissions and appears occassionally at comic book conventions. In 1995, he returned to the Joe Kubert School as an instructor. Fernando currently resides in New Jersey.
